Earlier this week, Boise State Broncos star running back Ashton Jeanty revealed that he took his offensive line out to dinner to thank them for their role in his remarkable campaign. Though he was grateful, he did jokingly outline how he was not too appreciative of how much the final check came out to be.
Jeanty and the Broncos’ offensive line have been crucial to the team’s success this season. On the year, the Broncos finished 11-1 overall with a perfect 7-0 record in Mountain West play. As a result of this, the Broncos are a win away from heading into the College Football Playoffs and Jeanty is a likely finalist for the Heisman Trophy.

What Did Ashton Jeanty Say About His Offensive Line?
Jeanty outlined how his standout campaign would not have been possible without the efforts of his lineman teammates: “You don’t get 2,000 yards rushing by yourself. They did a great job all year blocking for me and opening up holes,” Jeanty said.

However, he did continue by discussing how he was less appreciative of their off-field behavior during the dinner paid for by Jeanty.
“I really appreciate them. I didn’t appreciate how much the bill was, but it was a good time,” Jeanty said.
Jeanty’s 2024 Season and His 2025 NFL Draft Projection
Jeanty is enjoying one of the most prolific seasons in college football history.
The dynamic running back accumulated 2,288 rushing yards and 28 touchdowns during the regular season, averaging an impressive 7.3 yards per carry. In addition, he has added 102 yards and an additional touchdown through the air on 18 receptions.
This noteworthy campaign has seen Jeanty become one of the top names discussed in the Heisman Trophy race.
Furthermore, he is projected to be selected high in the 2025 NFL Draft, a sentiment echoed in our most recent 2025 NFL Mock Draft. CFN’s Cam Mellor penned Jeanty to the Cleveland Browns with the eighth overall selection.
“(Ashton) Jeanty is arguably the best player in all of college football this season,” Mellor wrote. “He’s far more than just a running back, though that’s where his bread and butter has been this season.
For Jeanty, he’s a dynamic three-down back who comes complete with pass-catching ability, vision, elusiveness, toughs, and blocking ability. Jeanty is not only the top running back, he’s much more than that, and certainly worthy of being just the second running back taken in the top 10 since 2019.”
While it remains to be definitively seen where or when Jeanty is drafted in April, it is evident that the Broncos star is appreciative of the positive impact his offensive line has had on his season and his NFL draft stock.
