Arch Manning Drops 2-Word Message While Playing Hoops With New Texas WR Cam Coleman

Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning is building chemistry this offseason with new wide receiver Cam Coleman, who transferred from Auburn to Texas in January. Coleman was one of the best wide receivers in the portal and he figures to become Manning’s go-to pass catcher in the field.

On Tuesday, Manning posted a small clip from the gym, capturing Coleman making a 360-degree dunk. The Longhorns quarterback wrote:

    “Light work.”

In his two seasons with Auburn, Coleman proved to be a menace for opposing teams. In his freshman season, Coleman played 11 games, including 10 starts, catching 37 receptions for 598 yards and 8 TDs. He made the SEC All-Freshman Team. Last season, the sophomore started all 12 games, hauling in 56 receptions for 708 yards and 5 TDs. He led Auburn in receiving yards.

Coleman could be Texas’ leading receiver next season, possibly pushing for a 1,000+ yard season and All-Conference honors before potentially declaring for the draft.

Arch Manning Reveals ‘Hero’ Behind Texas’ Cam Coleman’s Recruitment

By recruiting Cam Coleman, the Longhorns, led by Arch Manning, have once again placed themselves into the national championship conversation in 2026.

Earlier, it was believed that Manning played a major role in bringing Coleman aboard. But the quarterback clarified that it was instead Ryan Wingo.

“Actually, everyone was like, I went to dinner with him, blah, blah, but it was really Ryan Wingo who went to dinner with him,” Manning said. “I had to go to dinner with some linemen who actually ended up not coming. So really, Ryan’s the hero of that recruitment.”

SI believes the offensive lineman with whom Manning claimed to have dinner with could be “Jordan Seaton (LSU) or a combination of Jake Guarnera (Michigan) and Andrew Sprague (Michigan).”

Manning showed excitement for the coming season with the addition of another weapon in Coleman.

“He’s an elite player,” Manning said. “He wants to be good, which is the most encouraging thing. He’s a hard worker, and I’m excited.”

Meanwhile, Coleman revealed that Wingo and Emmett Mosley V have been helpful during this transition from Auburn to Texas.

It remains to be seen if Coleman could prove to be an asset for Arch Manning & Co.
