Brendan Sorsby Calls GF Gretchen ‘Beautiful’ While Penning Wholesome Birthday Message

Texas Tech Red Raiders quarterback Brendan Sorsby is getting ready to enter the NFL supplemental draft, but for now, he has taken some time off to do something special. It was the birthday of his girlfriend, Texas Tech volleyball star Gretchen Sigman, on Friday, and he gave her a special greeting on her special day.

“Happy Birthday Beautiful, I Love You,” Sorsby wrote on his Instagram story’s caption.

Much like Sorsby, she also previously attended Cincinnati before entering the transfer portal to go to Texas Tech. She followed him to the Red Raiders, but they would not be able to attend school together, as he is now leaving to enter the NFL supplemental draft after his gambling controversy came to light.

Sigman is a right-side hitter and will be entering her sophomore year at Texas Tech. She is originally from Holland, Ohio, and met Sorsby during their days at Cincinnati. They have kept their relationship private, though Sorsby often shows his affection for her on social media.

As for Brendan Sorsby himself, reports indicate that several teams are already interested in him despite concerns over his gambling problems. He will likely be designated as a backup or third-string quarterback on whichever team picks him from the supplemental draft.

Legal Battle Over Brendan Sorsby Eligibility Continues Despite NFL Supplemental Draft Entry

Brendan Sorsby may be escaping to the NFL, where he could still play, but that does not mean the legal battles over his eligibility are over. The Big 12 filed a federal lawsuit in Texas, seeking a declaratory judgment as well as injunctive relief that will allow the league the authority to punish Sorsby, even if he is not playing college football anymore.

A Big 12 source admitted that the case against Sorsby is still active and will reconvene next week.

“We don’t know the answer to those questions,” the source said, as per TSN. “We haven’t done anything different at this point. We’re going to reconvene next week to run through all the options. Right now that case is still active.”

Brendan Sorsby admitted that he had been betting on several college football games, including ones he participated in, breaking NCAA rules and causing a massive scandal that called the games he gambled on into question.
