Analyst Draws Hilarious USC Football Parallel For $100,000,000 FIFA World Cup Star After Stellar Outing

Norway just advanced to the quarterfinals of the World Cup after a huge 2-1 victory over Brazil, effectively retiring legend Neymar Jr. Manchester City Star Erling Haaland himself led the charge with this victory as the Vikings row their way through the tournament. However, this win also had many classic USC football fans talking, as many have realized that Haaland looks like former NFL and USC star Clay Matthews.

Haaland, whose net worth is $100 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth, is known for his long blond hair, and this reminded many fans of Matthews, who was also blond and rocked a long hairdo when he was still in college, playing for USC. This uncanny resemblance soon elicited a reaction from radio host Daniel Jeremiah, who joked that it was Matthews who scored the goal.

“That was a sweet goal by Clay Matthews!!!” he said.

“The Robot” scored both of Norway’s goals, in the 79th and the 90th minutes, effectively putting the game away as the match wound down. Brazil eventually answered, but it was too late, as the Vikings advanced. They will be facing Harry Kane and the Three Lions of England in the quarterfinals.

Neymar Jr. scored Brazil’s only goal of the game from the spot in stoppage time. The soccer legend was seen in tears after the loss, as this was his final World Cup; he has announced his retirement from the Seleção and thus international football.

Erling Haaland Says He Wanted To Celebrate In The Streets With Norway Fans

So far, the big Viking has been enjoying his stay in the United States, famously breaking his strict diet to eat local food and also buying some cowboy gear, from hats to boots, during his stay in Dallas.

He rarely celebrates his goals, which has garnered him his “Robot” nickname as he barely shows any emotion when he scores. But after the win over Brazil, he admitted that he wanted to go into the streets and celebrate with fans.

“I ‌wish I was on those streets; I wish I was involved in it,” he said post-match. “Everyone has to enjoy themselves. All of Norway has to enjoy themselves. It’s one of the sickest days ever in Norwegian history. You just have to enjoy it, because this is sick.”

The win also means that Norway remains the only country that is undefeated against Brazil, a country that has never missed the World Cup and has won it a record five times.
