Aden Starling Landing Spots: 5 Potential Teams 2027 WR Recruit Could Go to Amid Georgia Exit

Aden Starling, a star wide receiver recruit who has been turning heads in the recruiting world, pushed Ctrl + Z on his decision to join the Georgia Bulldogs. News of the move broke on social media on Thursday.

In a Thursday report from Sam Spiegelman via On3, the wide receiver “decommitted” from Georgia, erasing a commitment that was made in December.

With the wide receiver’s future now once again unknown, he’ll have to go back to the drawing board. Luckily for him, some landing spots make more sense than others. Here’s a look at five logical landing spots for the young wide receiver.

5 Landing Spots that Make Sense for Aden Starling

    #1 – Texas Longhorns

The Texas Longhorns will have the entire college football zeitgeist tuned in and half of the NFL fanbase. Put simply, the spotlight might be so bright it burns. However, if Aden Starling wants to learn to adjust to pressure, he needs to go here. Merely being associated with the team will give him a leg up, as NFL recruiters might see that he played with Arch Manning as a positive.

    #2 – Ole Miss Rebels

The Ole Miss Rebels are another team with high stakes, pressure and opportunity. As one of a sea of recruits, any spotlight Aden Starling can secure is a good one. At least early in his career, plenty will be watching to see if Trinidad Chambliss can elevate to the top of the NFL draft. If that happens, Starling can be the one who can take partial credit, and NFL recruiters will note his role.

    #3 – Missouri Tigers

According to 247 Sports, Aden Starling received an offer from the Missouri Tigers. While it might not be the most high-profile team, it is the one with the fewest number of wide receivers, which kicks the door open if Starling wants the biggest chance to get on the field consistently in his freshman season.

    #4 – Kentucky Wildcats

The Kentucky Wildcats offered Aden Starling a spot on the team, and not only that, but Starling has already visited the program. As such, if he wants a quick solution, committing to Kentucky saves him time and an elongated search. Of course, with 14 receivers already on the roster, Starling’s chances might not be the greatest.

    #5 – Houston Cougars

The Houston Cougars offer a geographically semi-close location compared to Georgia, if the location of the program serves as any factor in where he ends up. The Cougars are coming off an impressive 10-win turnaround from a 4-8 record a season ago, so the program’s brightest days could be ahead.

If Aden Starling wants to be credited with keeping pace, he may receive more individual credit for doing that than riding on a team with an established spotlight.
