$712,000 NIL-Valued Oregon Star Speaks Out On Spending $80,000 For High School Prom

Oregon wide receiver Dakorien Moore is looking back fondly on a lavish high school prom celebration that reportedly cost more than $80,000, which included $12,000 for an event planner.

Moore, one of college football’s highest-profile young athletes, discussed the event with The Wall Street Journal as Name, Image and Likeness earnings continue to reshape milestones traditionally associated with high school life.

“It was just an experience that I didn’t want to miss out on,” Moore said.

The celebration is one of his favorite memories from his senior year.

Reportedly, his NIL valuation is at $712,000.

The event took place last year in the Dallas area and featured an elaborate setup organized before Moore enrolled at Oregon.

According to the report, the celebration included catered food for about 100 guests, floral displays, special effects, a videographer and a chauffeured Bentley ride to prom.

Moore and his date, Juvie, also wore designer outfits. Reportedly, $10,000 was also spent for matching post-prom outfits for Moore and his date.

His mother, Marjahn Moore, said the family wanted the night to reflect her son’s accomplishments.

“I wanted it to be one of the best experiences of his life,” she said. “You graduated, you did well for yourself, and your prom should show that.”

Recalling the memories from May 2025, Moore said he felt like he was on “top of the world and it was “just his night for that one night.”

We definitely took advantage of that,” he added.

Moore changed his commitment from Louisiana State University to Oregon in 2025 and now plays for the Ducks as a wide receiver. He wears jersey no. 1.
