With March Madness nearly here, women’s college basketball is truly heating up right before the eyes of fans everywhere.
Ahead of the NCAA Tournament tipping off, it is important to keep in mind which players are set up for a bright future in the WNBA.

Top 5 Picks WNBA Mock Draft
It is time to examine the potential landing spots of some of the country’s best players. Here are some predictions for who will get drafted and where in the top five picks of the WNBA Draft.
1. Dallas Wings: Paige Beckers, G, UConn
Paige Bueckers is arguably the best player in the sport right now. The former Naismith College Player of the Year can shoot from anywhere on the court, make her teammates better around her, and has the skill set to turn the trajectory of a franchise around.
She is this draft’s Caitlin Clark, and the Wings could benefit from that.
2. Seattle Storm: Olivia Miles, G, Notre Dame
The All-American point guard could be great for years to come in the Emerald City if the Storm decides to draft her.

Olivia Miles has averaged at least 6.9 assists per game in each of the last two seasons while in South Bend. Being a great facilitator cannot be undervalued in today’s WNBA, which is why the Storm would be wise to draft her.
3. Washington Mystics: Sonia Citron, G, Notre Dame
An All-ACC player, Sonia Citron is one of the most complete players in the country. She can score (averaging 17.3 points per game), play elite defense (averaging 1.8 steals per game), and play for a long period of time (averaging 35.8 minutes per game).
Versatility could be the name of the game for the Mystics in this draft as they look to build a winner.
4. Washington Mystics: Dominique Malonga, C, France
The 6’6″ teenager from France (originally Cameroon) could give the Mystics a true stretch four.
A silver medalist at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Malogna is also the first Frenchwoman to dunk a basketball in an official game. Her size and ability to be an imposing force on the boards and in the paint could make the Mystics a great threat.
5. Golden State Valkyries: Kiki Iriafen, F, USC
The Valkyries will be looking to make a splash as an expansion team in their first WNBA Draft.
An All-Big Ten performer this season, Kiki Iriafen is a true scorer (19.4 points per game this season) and a real difference-maker on the boards (11.0 rebounds per game).

In the sport of basketball, it makes plenty of sense to build around a forward who can score at a high level. Drafting the 6’3″ Iriafen makes total sense here.
