“It’s Got to Be Exhausting.” Podcaster Goes Gaga Over UConn Star Azzi Fudd’s Winning Moves Both on and off the Field

Azzi Fudd is on a dream run both on and off the field. The UConn Huskies are unbeaten this season after 34 games, and Fudd has not only been arguably their best player, but she’s also the leader of the team.

Off the court, she is busy signing lucrative deals with some of the biggest brands in the world and putting the world on notice with her fashion choices. The 23-year-old is enjoying her last year in college before she moves to the WNBA.

On a recent episode of the ‘Court Vision’ podcast, Ros Gold-Onwude heaped praise on Fudd for balancing her life on and off the court and making her mark in everything she does. She called her “The People’s Princess.”

Gold-Onwude said that Fudd could “use some recovery time” because of the number of things she’s involved in.

“I mean, it’s got to be exhausting,” she said.

Fudd is having the best season of her career, averaging 17.7 points, 2.6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2.5 steals per game while shooting nearly 49% from the field and 44.6% from the three-point line.

Gold-Onwude said that Fudd “nearly stole the show” when she was spotted courtside during an Unrivaled game.

“One thing I also admire and have also been noticing about her, her nails are always cute,” she said. “With everything you’re doing on the court, how are you keeping them so upkept?”

Fudd’s on-court success speaks for itself. She is leading one of the most celebrated programs in college basketball history and is slated to be a top pick in the upcoming WNBA Draft. Her off-court success has also started to make noise, and people are noticing how brilliantly she’s expanding on her brand value.

Azzi Fudd on Always Looking Presentable

Fudd was recently on the SELF Magazine cover, and she spoke about her confidence and always looking presentable regardless of the setting. She said that her confidence comes from knowing what she’s capable of.

As for looking presentable, Fudd spoke on the “sloppy” look that some players carry during games.

“I find myself looking at other teams with their uniforms untucked: sloppy. The way their socks are different colors: sloppy. The way they warm up: sloppy, disorganized,” she said. “This program of excellence that the coaching staff has been able to build is incredible.”

“Those are things I want to take with me when I’m part of a new program. Making sure I’m on time, I have my routine, and I’m being presentable.”

One of the reasons why Fudd is so mindful of everything is that she wants to keep making the UConn staff proud.
