UConn Huskies guard Caroline Ducharme celebrated her team’s recent win, after which some of her former teammates reacted joyously. On Tuesday, March 10, @bigeast on Instagram uploaded Ducharme’s post-game interview, in which the fifth-year standout spoke about being part of the Huskies’ Big East conference dominance over the last five years.
On Sunday, March 8, Ducharme and the rest of the Huskies matched up against coach Denise Dillon’s Villanova Wildcats on their home floor, the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. UConn went on to dominate the Wildcats by 39 points, 90-51, as they won their 13th straight conference tournament title. With this, former UConn key cogs Nika Muhl and Aaliyah Edwards showed support to Ducharme.
Muhl and Edwards dropped their reactions in the Instagram post’s comments section.
“❤️,” Muhl wrote.

“No lies were told,” Edwards commented with a plethora of emojis.

Both Muhl and Edwards have taken their talents to the WNBA after they were selected in the 2024 draft. Muhl is part of coach Sonia Raman’s Seattle Storm, while Edwards resides near her alma mater and is a member of coach Rachid Meziane’s Connecticut Sun. For Ducharme and the rest of coach Geno Auriemma’s UConn team, they enter the 2026 March Madness undefeated, with an overall record of 34-0 (20-0 Big East).
Caroline Ducharme Wants To Be Remembered For Being A Great Teammate
In the video posted by @bigeast on Instagram, Carolina Ducharme was asked how she wants to be remembered by the UConn Huskies faithful who adore her.
Ducharme wants to be remembered as a great teammate, as she feels it was her best trait over the past five years.
“ I think just, honestly, someone who is a great teammate. I think that’s been like my biggest thing throughout my five years here. Obviously, on the court, it’s been a roller coaster. But, you know, your impact on people and how you support people is something that can never, you know, can never change based on what you do on the court. So I guess just, I want people to know how much I love UConn Nation and my teammates,” Ducharme said (0:05).
