Lakers Legend Magic Johnson Gets 100% Real on UCLA Star Lauren Betts’ Performance Against Texas in Final Four Showdown

Magic Johnson and Lauren Betts both had their full attention on the UCLA-Texas showdown in the Final Four for the NCAA’s women’s basketball March Madness. Betts, of course, had more as the star of the game.

At least, that is what the Lakers legend appeared to suggest in his review of the contest in a Saturday morning post on X.

“UCLA’s 51-44 victory over Texas in the Women’s Final Four last night was led by Lauren Betts’s dominant performance inside the paint,” Johnson posted. “She finished with 16 points, 11 rebounds and a crucial block at the end of the game! UCLA’s defense held Texas’s leading scorer, Madison Booker to only six points and she was 3-23 from the floor taking Texas out of their offensive rhythm.”

Johnson’s post had an informative tone, but the legend nailed the delivery. Of course, with another crucial game on tap for UCLA, fans can look to see whether Johnson will have one more assessment this season.

Lauren Betts Enters Short Wait To Learn National Championship Result

The UCLA star will face the South Carolina Gamecocks on Sunday, April 5. The winner will take home the trophy after months of work. The loser will be left wondering what could have been for the rest of time.

However, with tipoff set to take place at 3:30 pm EST on ABC and ESPN, Betts will know the result with time left in her weekend for better or worse. Either way, it will be the final game of the year for both teams and for some, it will be their final game on a court.

Will Betts’ Bruins upset the perennial national championship participant Dawn Staley and the Gamecocks?
