What Time Does Caitlin Clark Play Today? Team USA Star’s Game Time Explored vs Puerto Rico in FIBA World Cup (Mar. 12)

Caitlin Clark and Team USA will take on hosts Puerto Rico on Thursday at the FIBA World Cup Qualifying Tournament. Team USA is coming off a dominant 110-46 win over Senegal, which marked Clark’s first game as a senior national team member.

The game provided a first glimpse of the Caitlin Clark era for Team USA following the departure of Diana Taurasi, whose iconic No. 12 jersey is now being worn by none other than the Indiana Fever guard.

Thursday’s matchup is scheduled for a late evening tipoff at 8 p.m. ET. The encounter will take place in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In the United States, the game will be broadcast live on TNT and truTV. Viewers can also stream the game live through Sling TV and HBO Max on various devices.

Puerto Rico enters the game on the back of a defeat after a 78-41 loss to Italy last night.

Caitlin Clark Shines in Team USA Debut

Caitlin Clark made her senior debut for Team USA during the Mar.11 matchup against Senegal, and it is fair to say that she did far more than just make up the numbers. The Indiana Fever superstar announced herself as one of the players who can play a major role in Team USA’s next chapter.

The 24-year-old finished with 17 points and 12 assists in just 19 minutes. She came off the bench and made four of her five field-goal attempts, all from three-point range while also converting all five free throws.

Her performance in Puerto Rico demonstrated her ability to contribute offensively, play a two-way game, and provide leadership on both ends of the floor. Clark delivered a composed, high-intelligence attacking display, reading the game well, linking plays and knocking down threes that helped the U.S. control the contest.

The Fever guard experienced an injury-hit sophomore season in the WNBA after a record-breaking rookie campaign, with a recurring groin issue and a bone bruise limiting her to just 13 games. She will now be looking to stake an early claim for a starting spot during what promises to be a huge summer of transition for Team USA.
