WATCH: Fight Almost Breaks Out Between Angel Reese And Izzy Harrison After Nasty Foul

Atlanta Dream forward Angel Reese and Toronto Tempo stalwart Izzy Harrison are known for their skill sets around the rim. The two have a knack for getting physical in the paint, given that they like to post up and battle for rebounds. Since this is their strong suit, their Sunday game saw a lot of exchanges between them in that area in Atlanta’s 102-77 road win.
It was no different at the 6:06 mark of the third quarter when Reese posted up Harrison. As Reese made her move, Harrison draped her arms over Reese to defend her from making a shot. This caused both players to fall to the ground, and they almost got into a fight. Harrison stayed on the floor, while Reese immediately stood up and was held back by her teammates. The PostHer Hoops page on Instagram uploaded the sequence.

After the referees reviewed the play, Harrison was handed a flagrant-2 foul and ejected from the remainder of the game. She was leading her team in scoring at that point with 17 points. Reese missed both of her ensuing free-throw attempts and was visibly emotional while taking them. Postgame, it was reported that Harrison will have to pay a $1,000 fine for the foul, according to WNBA rules.

The Atlanta Dream blew out the Toronto Tempo after the Angel Reese-Izzy Harrison sequence

When Angel Reese and Izzy Harrison almost got into a fight, the Atlanta Dream led 52-42. But right after Harrison got ejected, the Toronto Tempo could not find a spark on offense. This resulted in the Dream going on a run up to the fourth quarter. Reese and company eventually won by a staggering 25 points: 102-77.
Reese finished with a double-double of 15 points and 17 rebounds, to go along with one assist, one steal and one block in 27 minutes. For Harrison, she exited the game with a team-high 17 points, three rebounds, one steal and two blocks in 19 minutes.
The Dream and the Tempo are set to face one another again on June 22, giving Reese and Harrison another chance to match up.
