Connor McCaffery and Caitlin Clark may plan to stay in Indiana
Connor McCaffery, who is also the son of legendary college basketball coach Fran McCaffery, and Clark have been dating since April 2023. The former hooper-turned-coach played six seasons under his father, Fran, when he was the head coach of the Iowa Hawkeyes men’s team. Clark and Connor reportedly met during their college days. He spent the last two seasons under coach Thad Matta with the Butler Bulldogs MBB.
Interestingly, before her Butler stint, Connor also worked with the Indiana Pacers as the basketball development coordinator for the 2023-24 NBA season, when the team reached the Eastern Conference Finals.
Meanwhile, the Fever has exercised Caitlin Clark’s team option for 2027, making her eligible for the Exceptional Performance on Initial Contract provision. She can renegotiate the salary for the fourth year of her deal and sign a max extension with the franchise, as early as the next offseason. Meanwhile, Fever fans are convinced about her future in Indiana.
