Caitlin Clark has already made a mark on the WNBA history. In just two seasons, she has multiple WNBA records already. She had a rookie season most players could only dream of. She won Rookie of the Year, All Star inclusion and ended up 4th on the MVP list.

She averaged 19.2 points, with 5.7 rebounds and 8.4 assists. However, she was unfortunate to suffer an injury in the last season. She could only play 13 games. Lingering soft tissue injuries and eventually a right groin injury in mid-July sidelined her for the rest of the season.

In the two seasons, Indiana Fever lost in the first round of her rookie season and went on to lose in the WNBA semi-final last season without Caitlin Clark. This was noted and recently talked about by Colin Cowherd on his show.

“Rookie sensation, year 2, last year she’s hurt. Year 3, okay, her stats are great again, when is she gonna start winning at the next level? She has not won a playoff series yet. My take is, she has her Pippen, Kelsey Mitchell was a player, who got some MVP votes. This is not hating on Caitlin Clark, but the stage of ‘Wow, who’s the new kid?’ I’m done with that. That was awesome. That was Taylor Swift’s self-titled album.” Cowherd said.

“Then it was ‘Fearless’ which crushed her self-titled album. I need ‘Fearless’. This is great, I have seen the stats. She shoots from a long way away from the basket, that is awesome. But there are stages to greatness. And I have always felt, her game is Steph, I think she has the chance to be Jordan-esque, which is multiple championships, if she can get the right coach and the right running bank,” Colin added.

Fans react to Colin Cowherd’s hot take about Caitlin Clark

Fans were furious and refuted Cowherd’s demand from Caitlin Clark.

“This is her second season lol f*cking idiot. She played 12 games last year,” one fan abused.

“When’s she gonna win a playoff series?! She’s in her 3rd year and was hurt last year,” another justified.

“She has played 57 games as a pro lol,” another said.

“She’s not, basketball is a team sport. You can’t be about self and win,” one fan commented.

“Lazy, lazy take Colin. You’re better than that. At least I thought so,” another disagreed.

“Haters always gonna hate and use her name. Here’s of list of a few greats and how many years it took to win a championship,” one fan explained with examples of Michael Jordan (7 years), Shaquille O’Neal (8), Larry Bird (2), Kobe Bryant (4) and LeBron James (9) – years before their first NBA title.
