Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham weighed in on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s imminent wedding on Friday’s episode of her podcast.
On the latest episode of “Show Me Something,” Cunningham said she was astonished that the global pop icon and the three-time Super Bowl champion are reportedly planning to get married at the World’s Most Famous Arena. According to outlets like TMZ and The New York Post, Swift and Kelce could be tying the know at Madison Square Garden.
“I’m not trying to talk smack, because it’s their wedding and that’s what they want, and I’m sure it’s gonna be beautiful and stunning…I’m a little shocked. Like, that’s a little unique.”
Cunningham added that she’d expected Swift and Kelce, two A-list celebrities, to choose a wedding venue away from the spotlight.
“I guess it’s their wedding so our opinion doesn’t really matter, but I just thought that it would be, like, somewhere, in nature.”
West Wilson, Cunningham’s co-host, jokingly asked her if she’d gotten an invite. The eight-year WNBA veteran responded in the negative but appeared to be holding out hope that she’d receive one somehow.
It will be interesting to see whether Cunningham’s teammate Caitlin Clark made the wedding guest list. Clark has a well-publicized friendship with Swift and the two have spent time with each other at Chiefs games.
Aside from the guest list, the exact date of Swift’s wedding is shrouded in mystery as well. Reports vary, with some sources claiming that it will happen in June and others pointing to early July.

Cunningham missed the Fever’s game against the Chicago Sky on Thursday, but she is listed as probable on the team’s injury report for Saturday. This is an indication that the veteran guard will be back against the Connecticut Sun.
Though Cunningham’s scoring average (8.7 ppg) matches her productivity from last season, her 3-point shooting efficiency has dipped, going from 43.2% to 33.3% in 2026. This is something that Cunningham will have to work on as the season progresses.
