Rickea Jackson Breaks Social Media Hiatus With 4-Word Message After Domestic Abuse Allegations Involving NFL Boyfriend

Rickea Jackson was out of the 3v3 women’s league, Unrivaled, after she suffered a domestic violence attempt from her partner and NFL pro, James Pearce Jr. He was arrested last month after a domestic dispute between the two athletes, and Jackson took a hiatus from playing and also from social media. However, she is now back with a strong post on Instagram.

Jackson joined the Unrivaled back on January 21 in the Breeze BC’s game against the Vinyl BC, registering a 77-56 victory. She scored 22 points on her return, shooting 9-18. Now, breaking her social media hiatus, the LA Sparks forward shared a post with a four-word caption:

    “Grace. Gratitude. Growth….. Unshaken.”

The post contained several images of her recent games in the Unrivaled league, along with snaps with her teammates: Paige Bueckers, Cameron Brink, and Dominique Malonga. She is currently averaging 14.9 points, 6 rebounds, and 2.8 assists.

Rickea Jackson’s boyfriend ordered to stay away from WNBA star

Following his arrest, charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated stalking of Rickea Jackson, the Atlanta Falcons’ linebacker was handed a 500-foot stay-away order and a $20,500 bond by the court. According to the complaint, James Pearce Jr. allegedly crashed his vehicle into the WNBA forward’s car multiple times to stop her from going to the police.

After the incident in February 2026, Pearce Jr.’s legal team gave a statement, defending the NFL rookie. It read:

“Mr. Pearce maintains his innocence and urges the public to understand that while allegations have the power to shape a narrative, it is hardly the full, complete story.”

The WNBA star also clarified earlier that she was willing to testify against James and requested the court to speed up her case and grant her fast justice.

Even though there is no official confirmation on what happened to the charges against James, Rickea is seemingly ahead of the incident, looking forward to continuing her athletic journey. The NFL linebacker had a promising rookie season, averaging 10.5 sacks in 2025. However, there is no confirmation on his future in the league after he was arrested last month.
