“Racial Brainwash is Insane”: Caitlin Clark Fans Berate Chloe Kitts, Joyce Edwards for 2024 WNBA ROY Prediction Favoring Angel Reese

The Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese rivalry seems to be a never-ending conversation in the WNBA world, as fans of both athletes often butt heads online. As expected, their rookie season only added to that fuel when Caitlin Clark was awarded the league MVP title over Angel Reese. And now, an old video has once again sparked that conversation on X.

Clark got a near-unanimous vote for her Rookie of the Year campaign, winning 66 of 67 first-place votes from a panel of national media. Interestingly, South Carolina Gamecocks players Chole Kitts and Joyce Edwards were seen in an old video predicting the 2024 WNBA season winner, MVP, and ROY.

When the host asked them to predict the winners, Kitts immediately picked the 2024 champions choice as the Las Vegas Aces, the MVP as A’ja Wilson, and, after a little confusion, picked the ROY as Angel Reese. Edwards also agreed with her ROY choice and also backed the now-Atlanta Dream forward as the league MVP.

However, fans did not like their answers as most of their predictions turned out to be busts. A fan highlighted the “politics” in Kitts and Edwards’ comments and wrote:

“Politics. The racial brainwash is insane.”

Another user stated that they gave a bad take and wrote:

    “Bad take on bad take.”

One more user was thankful that it was a fair decision and wrote:

“Luckily politics did not play a role in the 2024 ROTY”

Another Caitlin Clark fan believed that they were hating on the Indiana Fever guard and wrote:

“They hated CC with a passion.”

One more user wrote on a similar line:

“Politics!!! Spare me. CC was solar systems beyond Reese. Reese winning would have been a serious case of politics.”

Clark scored 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 8.4 assists in her rookie season in 2024 and led the Indiana Fever to the postseason after 2016. She was a facilitator and a more complete player than Reese, who broke the record of most consecutive double-doubles (15) in her first WNBA season. However, fans still fight over the 2024 NBA ROY honors.

Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese’s rivalry takes a new turn after recent trade

Caitlin Clark will now face Angeel Reese four times in the 2026 WNBA regular season, as the former Chicago Sky forward was traded to the Atlanta Dreams in exchange for two first-round picks in 2027 and 2028. After the news broke out, Reese said in a video on social media:

“To the city of Chicago, you showed me real love from day one. Thank you, Chicago. Always Chi-Town Barbie.”

Angel Rooks shared the news on X and wrote:

“BREAKING: Angel Reese is headed to the Atlanta Dream.

Sources tell me the Atlanta Dream and the Chicago Sky have agreed to a trade.”

Reese will bring her best alongside Allisha Gray, who led the Dream in scoring (18.4), along with Rhyne Howard, who averaged 17.5 points and 4.5 rebounds. Her matchups with Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever will attract a lot of attention.
