The Minnesota Lynx selected Olivia Miles as the second pick in the WNBA draft. And she has not only lived up to the hype but also outperformed expectations. Her college career gave everyone the idea of the immense talent she possesses. She has already broken multiple WNBA records and has helped the Minnesota Lynx get to the top of the table.
She is not only the favorite to win the Rookie of the Year, but is also among the top 5 in the MVP race. She also earned her first All-Star starting spot. Ahead of the All-Star Game, WNBA legend A’ja Wilson talked during the media availability and hyped up the Lynx rookie. Miles was left stunned by the praise. She was shook and had her hand on her chest as to she had nothing to say after hearing praise from someone like Wilson.
“I mean… you’re a star. For real, you’re a star. You have a really, really good career in this league. Not only because of your game, of course, but the way that you carry yourself off the court. I love how unapologetic you are. And I think that’s always gonna be far in life,” Wilson said.
You can see Miles’ reaction here as Aces star spoke.
“Obviously your skill and your vision, would be playing alongside the point guard. It’s a lot of similarities there, I know you guys have heard that but it’s real. And that doesn’t come by often so As you continue to be in this league, you will find even more ways to still get to your spots in question. That’s going to be exciting to see. Yeah, congrats on your first All-Star,” she continued.
A’ja Wilson disgusted after knowing Olivia Miles’ age
There was a hilarious moment between Wilson and Miles during the press conference. Miles was agreeing that she is too young right now and has a lot in front of her. While talking about her career, Miles mentioned that she was born in 2003 and hence was 23-years-old.
This drew a hilarious expression from Wilson. She was shocked after knowing how young Miles is. Then the Lynx rookie mentioned how Wilson isn’t that old. She said that Aces star is 27, but Wilson clarified that she is 29.
