Caitlin Clark riled up fan bases on Wednesday after her crashout over an alleged missed call by the referee during the clash between the Indiana Fever and Golden State Valkyries. The incident occurred in the second quarter after Clark made her first shot with 4:43 left. The Fever star finished her attempt at the rim over Valkyries big Kiah Stokes.
Clark went down and got up stiff amid her lingering back issues. At the end of the Valkyries’ possession, Clark charged at the referee and punched the air in frustration. However, the official didn’t charge her with a technical foul. Clark also went at another official near the Fever bench. Clark left the locker room shortly but returned to action.

While fans from both sides erupted, most were in disbelief that the referee didn’t hand a tech to the Fever superstar. The referees haven’t hesitated to do so before, leaving many X users shocked that they stayed put.
“Paige, Angel & Olivia get tech’d for less,” one fan said.
