Olivia Miles has had a dream start to her rookie season in the WNBA. After an impressive college career with Notre Dame and TCU, Minnesota Lynx chose her as the 2nd overall pick in the 2026 WNBA draft. And she is already playing like a veteran.
Miles is averaging 19.6 points, 7.2 rebounds and 6.6 assists and quickly making a case not only for Rookie of the Year but she is also in the top 5 for the MVP race. She is also already competing with former Rookie of the Year recipients Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers.
Olivia Miles now leads the list of most points generated by a rookie in their first 15 games in WNBA history. She has scored 285 points, and 86 assists. From those 86 assists, there have been 200 assisted points, taking her total points generated to 485.
She leads Paige Bueckers at 2nd with 472 total points generated and Caitlin Clark at 3rd with 449. The list also includes Cappie Pondexter (421), Diana Taurasi (419), Tamika Catchings (406), Sue Bird (406), Breanna Stewart (396), Siemone Augustus (388), and Candace Parker(387) in the top 10.

Fans were impressed with Miles but also gave their respects to Paige Bueckers and Caitlin Clark.
“She’s playing great. Let’s see how it plays out. CC had probably the hardest schedule ever through her first 11 games. In the 2cd half of the season she put up numbers the W had never seen before. Liv could be better later or she could have a bit of a fall off as teams get tape on her,” one fan explained.
“I’m more impressed that Paige was able to do this with that sorry roster,” another fan said.
“Should be guarded any game now…,” another suggested.
“Calm down Clark defenders. What we are seeing is the start of a new era of guard play in this league. Paige, CC, and now Miles are a step above any other guard who has played in this league. It’s very cool. Nothing Miles is doing takes away from what CC did,” one fan commented.
“Phenomenal player but context does matter. Lynx are a top team even without their best player. It will only go up more as Phee comes back,” another fan claimed.
Olivia Miles also broke Caitlin Clark’s rookie record when she hit 8 three pointers vs the Valkyries. She also set a record for most points in first half with 24 points vs LA Sparks.
