Cheryl Reeve Makes Her Feelings Clear on Caitlin Clark And Olivia Miles Teaming Up in the All Star Game

The WNBA All-Star Game is upon us, and the two teams are set. Cheryl Reeve and Becky Hammon will coach the two teams. Reeve will lead Team Coop, managed by Cynthia Cooper, and Hammon will lead Team Spoon, managed by Teresa Weatherspoon. One of the most exciting things from the game is certainly the team-up of Caitlin Clark and Olivia Miles.

In a media availability before the All-Star game, Cheryl Reeve was asked about the backcourt of Caitlin Clark and Olivia Miles on her team.

“Super fun,” she replied. “Super fun. I’m excited for the fans. Really, all the players. But there’s some really, really special guard play. So, obviously we knew a time when you had Sue and Diana.

“This next era of guard play, Caitlin will be a big part of that. Olivia Miles will be a big part of that. So, it’s fun to have them as our backcourt,” she continued.

The 22 players were selected for the All-Star game and divided into two teams.

4. Courtney Williams – Minnesota Lynx
5. Kiki Iriafen – Washington Mystics

1. Paige Bueckers – Dallas Wings
2. Breanna Stewart – New York Liberty
3. Kelsey Mitchell – Indiana Fever
4. Natasha Howard – Minnesota Lynx
5. Gabby Williams – Golden State Valkyries

Reserves:

1. Angel Reese – Atlanta Dream
2. Marina Mabrey – Toronto Tempo
3. Dominique Malonga – Seattle Storm
4. Kahleah Copper – Phoenix Mercury (Replacing injured Kelsey Plum)
5. Jackie Young – Las Vegas Aces
6. Sonia Citron – Washington Mystics

The All-Star game is set to tip off at 8:30 p.m. ET at the United Center in Chicago. The All-Star game includes $15,000 prize money for the participants and a $20,000 bonus for the game MVP. Charitable team donations include $70,000 to a girls’ sports organization from the winning team and $30,0000 for the losing one.
