“Best Forward Incoming”: Fans Want A’ja Wilson and Bam Adebayo to Have a Kid as Their Love Story’s Origin Emerges

A’ja Wilson and Bam Adebayo have suddenly become basketball’s power couple as they carve individual journeys on the court, but very close-knit journeys off it. Now, as more details come out about how the duo got together, fans want another human being added to the equation.

A clip from ESPN’s “Life in the W” show revealed that A’ja Wilson and Bam Adebayo’s relationship started from a game of Uno in Tokyo, and listening to the origins of their love story, fans chimed in with demands of a child, with one fan saying, “they must make a baby. Best forward incoming.”

More About Bam Adebayo and A’ja Wilson’s Relationship

The duo have spoken candidly about their relationship in the past too, highlighting habits that make this the strongest bond.

“He’ll do the smallest of things, like opening a car door when he feels like I’m overstimulated,”A’ja told Vogue back in March, “or like having just a moment where he just holds my hand and knows if I’m getting too high, if my anxiety is blowing out the water,” she continued.

“The best thing about our relationship, we started out as great friends,” Bam Adebayo told TIME back in December 2025.

“We didn’t just jump to, ‘Hey, what’s up? You and I will make a great thing.’ Nah, we really eased into this.”

With both athletes tearing it up in the NBA and WNBA, perhaps fans’ demands for a child just might be the next logical step.
