Minnesota Lynx’s X account made two posts to showcase Olivia Miles’ dominance over Azzi Fudd in Tuesday’s game. The battle of the top two picks went in Miles’ favor again, who led her team to a 100-76 blowout win, taking a 2-0 head-to-head lead against her rookie rival. In their previous meeting on May 14, the Lynx won 90-86.
Miles was the best player on the floor on Tuesday, tallying 24 points, seven rebounds and six assists, shooting 70.0% from the field. Meanwhile, Fudd had one of her worst games since her debut, scoring six points on 2 of 12 shots. The rest of her box score had two steals and two turnovers.
This game alone won’t decide the Rookie of the Year race, but for now, it has fueled Miles’ case by a wide margin. The Lynx’s X also looked to play their part in showing Miles’ upper hand against Fudd with two posts.
The first one was a mid-game highlight of Miles against Fudd as she lost the Wings guard on a crossover.
“HAD HER LOST 😱,” the caption said.
The second post was a comparison between Miles and Fudd’s stats from the night. The Lynx took down the post, but several fans managed to get the screenshot.

The posts prompted fans to share their honest thoughts about their rookie’s dominance.
“Bro she is so cold 😂😂,” one Lynx fan said.
“They said this was All defense type player. Miles had her on skates,” another added.
“Y’all got the Azzi fans fuming 😂 W Miles,” one fan wrote.
Meanwhile, Fudd and Wings supporters called out the Lynx for their attack on the No. 1 pick.
“Well Azzi Fudd is a national champion—something Olivia Miles can’t lay claim too. Miles is having a great season but let’s see who’s career is better when all is said and done. Fudd doesn’t have the luxury of having the ball in her hands 70% of the time as a PG,” one fan said.
“This is why the WNBA will never be what the NBA is. Too petty and worried about downgrading a player instead of growing the league. WNBA just started making money, do better and have respect for the women playing,” another wrote.
“Delete this,” one fan added.
Napheesa Collier can’t stop raving about “ROY” Olivia Miles after she outplays Azzi Fudd
The Minnesota Lynx have been the most surprising team this season, as they are top of the league standings despite Napheesa Collier’s absence. Many believed they would be an average team because of the void left by Collier, who is recovering from surgeries on both ankles.
However, Olivia Miles has hit the ground running, turning the Lynx’s expectations around. After Minnesota extended its winning streak to eight games on Tuesday, Collier couldn’t help but rave about Miles. Here’s what the player said about the team’s flawless stretch:
“I think the effort we have on offense and defense – every possession we’re working hard. And we have Olivia Miles.”
After Miles took to Instagram to post pictures from the game, Collier was among the most notable names in the comments section.
“ROY,” she wrote.
Miles has averaged 17.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.4 steals per game. She’s shooting 52.2% from the field, 37.1% from deep and 91.2% from the free-throw line. She leads all rookies in points, rebounds, assists, steals and plus-minus scores per game.
