“Love You For Life”: Caitlin Clark Makes Ex-Iowa Teammate’s Day With Wholesome Birthday Post

Caitlin Clark has a strong relationship with former Iowa teammates. Over the years, she continues to engage with some of them on social media on certain occasions.

On Sunday, the WNBA superstar shared a photo on Instagram and sent her birthday wishes to former Hawkeyes teammate Jada Gyamfi. Clark wrote:

“Happy Birthday, Jades. Love you for lifeeeee.”

Clark and the now 22-year-old former Iowa forward played together for two years. While the superstar point guard was the face of the Hawkeyes, Gyamfi was a key reserve, particularly during the 2023-24 season, Clark’s last in college.

That year, the Hawkeyes reached their second straight NCAA championship game. Clark averaged 31.6 points, 8.9 assists, 7.4 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game that season. She was named the College Player of the Year for the second straight year. Gyamfi averaged 1.4 ppg and 0.6 apg as part of Iowa’s frontcourt depth.

Although they have not played together for roughly two years, Caitlin Clark showed how much she still appreciates Jada Gyamfi.

Jada Gyamfi Reacted to Caitlin Clark’s Instagram Post About Playing for Team USA

Caitlin Clark played with the stacked Team USA that dominated the FIBA World Cup Qualifying Tournament in Puerto Rico. Finally free of injuries that limited her to 13 WNBA games last season, Clark showed that she’s back. The point guard won the tournament MVP roughly eight months after her last competitive game.

On Wednesday, Clark shared on Instagram photos of her MVP-winning campaign with Team USA. She wrote:

“Fun being back out there, US.”

Jada Gyamfi unsurprisingly responded to Clark’s post:

    “Miss you, Mommy.”

    Gyamfi followed it up with:

“God, I missed watching you play basketball.”

Following the WNBA and WNBPA’s successful CBA talks, Jada Gyamfi and basketball fans can see Caitlin Clark play again. With the possibility of a lockout gone, fans can look forward to early May when Clark’s Indiana Fever will open the season against a highly anticipated game against Paige Bueckers’ Dallas Wings.
