Head coach Jose Fernandez explains why Paige Bueckers returned after injury scare
Bueckers had a nasty fall after 24 points in the first half vs the Phoenix Mercury.
Fernandez was asked why she came back to continue the game. He answered (2:30), “Well, she I mean, there’s a comfort level to her. You know, when she gets going, it’s easy for me to put her in spots and at the elbow, at the nail, post her up. And um, you know, that’s why she’s one of the best in the world. I think she wanted to show Kara. Play well in front of Kara too, if she was doing the game.”
