“Imma WAG Until Further Notice”: Unsigned Free Agent Natasha Cloud Drops Cryptic Message From Toronto Amid Blackball Rumors

WNBA guard Natasha Cloud shared a message on social media amid rumors of her being blackballed from the league. Cloud, who has 10 seasons in the league, was with the New York Liberty last season. She played 41 games, averaging 10.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 5.1 assists.

The Liberty did not bring her back and she has not found a new team in free agency. On Friday, Cloud shared an announcement on her Instagram in a post that has since been deleted.

“Imma wag until further notice,” Cloud wrote with a location tag showing that she is in Toronto, Canada.

For context, the term wag is slang, normally used to refer to the wives and girlfriends of professional athletes. Natasha Cloud has been in a relationship with WNBA forward Isabelle Harrison since 2021.

Her post has sparked speculation about a potential move to the Tempo. However, with no confirmed interest from the team or reporters, fans are claiming that her presence in Toronto can be explained by Harrison being with the Tempo.

Writing for The Athletic on April 26, Annie Costabile reported that her sources in the league have negated claims of Cloud being blackballed.

Would Natasha Cloud fit on the Toronto Tempo?

The Toronto Tempo have built a guard-heavy lineup this summer with the acquisitions of Julie Allemand, Marina Mabrey, Kitija Laksa, Kia Nurse and Brittney Sykes. They also have Lexi Held on the roster and drafted Kiki Rice with the No. 6 pick.

If Rice receives significant minutes at the guard spot for development, the Tempo will have to balance five guards with one starting spot in the backcourt. Adding Cloud to that lineup could make it even harder for the team to balance its rotation.

Between Natasha Cloud’s ability to create her own shot, her playmaking and impact on the defensive end, she can contribute to most rosters in the league. However, she might find herself without the proper minutes to be impactful in the Tempo’s rotation.

Although it is worth considering that the Tempo hired Cloud’s former coach, Sandy Brondello, who did not return as the New York Liberty’s coach after the 2025 playoffs.
