Sonia Citron Delivers But Caitlin Clark Nearly Stole the Show

This was Sonia Citron’s career-best performance in the WNBA so far. Her previous WNBA career high stood at 27 points, set during her rookie season against the Dallas Wings.

However, we could have been talking from a completely different perspective had Caitlin Clark’s late-game push helped the Fever defeat the Mystics.

Clark buried a clutch 3-pointer late in regulation to force overtime. However, Washington managed to hold off the Fever during the extra period, narrowly escaping with the two-point win.

Citron has got off to a good start in his second year after averaging 14.9 points per game during her rookie campaign in 2025, earning All-Star honors as well.
