Dan Dakich Drops Explosive Claim About Paige Bueckers’ Stance on Black Coaches In WNBA

Paige Bueckers’ stance on the lack of Black women coaches in the WNBA has come under scrutiny from NBA analyst Dan Dakich. The college basketball insider, who is white and works for both Outkick and Fox, twin conservative outlets, has not shied away from sharing his unfiltered views, from Caitlin Clark’s woes to Bueckers’ comments.

On his YouTube show, “Dan Dakich Unfiltered,” he did not see eye to eye with the guard’s concerns and believed she only did it to be in her peers’ good books. He said that the league was “nothing” until Caitlin Clark came into the picture. He added:

“I guarantee you she was pressured in a certain way to doing this.”

Dakich also called out the WNBA:

“The league has to expose itself as not a real sports league, but as an agenda.”

Dakich earlier called out WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert for not showing up for an interview with analyst Dan Patrick. He criticized the league’s leader for avoiding difficult questions about Caitlin Clark and issues surrounding her this season.

Paige Bueckers shouts out her idols while standing up for Black women coaches

While talking about the lack of Black women coaches in the WNBA, Paige Bueckers shouted out the women who changed her life for the better, according to ESPN:

“I think Black women — specifically, I grew up with a lot of prominent Black women in my life that were very important to me in how I was raised and how I grew up, being my stepmom, my AAU coach.

“So, I understand how amazing they are and how they should get the same equal opportunity as a white woman, as a white man, to be an important piece of this league. It was built on a lot of Black women — this league was — so it’s definitely right for them to get the same equal opportunity as everyone else.”

Bueckers’ comment is bound to raise some eyebrows. However, her performance has been nothing less than marvelous thus far. She led the team in Sunday’s win over the Chicago Sky, producing 22 points and 11 assists.
