Caitlin Clark had a record-breaking night against the Seattle Storm, as she scored a massive double-double with 45 points and 10 assists. Her boyfriend and player developmental assistant coach for the Noblesville Boom, Connor McCaffery, was also there to support her partner in her achievement. And when a user tried to take a dig at the family, Clark’s brother also showed up.
Clark was under scrutiny for her recent decline in offensive production and a horde of other issues prevailing around her this season. For now, she seems to have set aside one side of it, her on-court performance. However, a user suggested her and her boyfriend’s political affiliation when the Indiana Pacers’ NBA G-League team’s assistant coach celebrated his partner’s career-high game.
A user on X commented on the screenshot of the back-and-forth, supporting the allegations that Clark and her family were MAGA supporters.
“Still associates with MAGA and refused to admit she supported Kamala. Still who she is. Good not great player lol”
Clark’s brother, Colin Clark, shared his thoughts with a GIF:
In the initial screenshot, Connor’s brother and basketball player, Jack McCaffery, was seen defending his brother in the comments section when a user alleged that the family was MAGA supporters. He openly claimed that his family “voted blue,” which points to the Democratic Party.
Fans kept defying the idea that the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year and her boyfriend were supporters of Kamala Harris. Political ideologies are one thing; Clark seems to be back in her form after her recent performance against the Storm.
Caitlin Clark put on a show at Gainbridge Fieldhouse
Caitlin Clark was ballin at Gainbridge Fieldhouse when the Fever met the Storm in a home game. The game went neck-to-neck, which made the guard’s 45-point outing even more valuable. Moreover, it was not just her offense.
Clark had four steals and two blocks in the game, including an important strip in the clutch against Flau’jae Johnson when the teams were tied 102-102. She showed up on both ends of the floor and led the team to a win when her partner and friend Aliyah Boston was out due to a lower right leg injury.
Meanwhile, Kelsey Mitchell enjoyed another successful game, with 30 points. Clark’s shooting also improved, going 11-18 from the floor and 6-10 from deep. The Fever would be confident after a strong win, and Clark would look to continue her form further in the season.
