“On How Many Shots”: Fans React as Caitlin Clark Makes Three-Pointer History at WNBA Game

Caitlin Clark has just broken another WNBA record. She has now become the fastest WNBA player to make 200 three-pointers in her career. It took her 74 games to achieve that feat. WNBA Hall of Famer Katie Smith held the previous record: 81 games.

The Indiana Fever played against the Seattle Storm on Saturday, July 18. Clark led the Fever to a 110-107 win in a historic night. Most fans were in awe of her three-point achievement. However, there were some doubts.

Clark scored 45 points in 29 minutes along with 10 assists. Apart from 200 career threes, Clark broke 2 more records. She became the first player in history to score 40+ points with 10 assists. She now holds the record for most points in franchise history. Clark also surpassed Diana Taurasi for games with 50+ points created.

Why is Caitlin Clark’s playing time restricted?

The Fever star is currently under a restriction of playing minutes. The Fever medical staff has given the green light for roughly 25 minutes which can occasionally extend to around 30 minutes. This decision has been taken as a precaution due to her lingering back injury.

29 minutes vs the Storm was beyond the instructions. Coach Stephanie White had admitted that there was uncertainty about Clark playing the fourth quarter. Continuing the game and breaking WNBA record was courtesy of Clark refusing to come out.
