Caitlin Clark Stats Today: How Did Fever Star Perform in Season Opener vs Paige Bueckers and Dallas Wings

The Indiana Fever and the Dallas Wings engaged in a highly anticipated season-opener, while every fan’s eyes were set on Caitlin Clark at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year missed the entire last season due to a recurring groin injury. However, she was back in her form earlier when she played the FIBA Women’s World Cup qualifiers and grabbed the MVP title.

In her first regular-season game, after a long injury hiatus, Clark started the game slowly and shot 1-4 from the field to score six points, four from free throws, in the first quarter. Moreover, she could not make deep shots and went 0-for-2 from 3-point range.

The second quarter was even slower, as Clark played just four minutes and made one field goal out of two to score two points. She attempted two more deep shots but couldn’t make any. Both teams were matched equally for the entire half, but the Wings ran away with the lead in the final few possessions, ending the half, 60-51.

However, Clark came alive in the third quarter and scored 10 points from 4-6 shooting from the floor, including two 3-pointers. However, the game ended in favor of the Wings, as the Fever lost, 104-107, in their first game of the season.
