Caitlin Clark Fans ‘Annihilate’ WNBA Reporter as She Opens Up About Smear Campaign, Harassment, and Being Undermined in Media

Caitlin Clark fans did not go easy on WNBA reporter Roberta after she shared a message on X, expressing her frustration with how she has been treated despite her work.

She alleged that she has faced “smear” campaigns, harassment, discrimination and also claimed that she was being undermined by legacy media outlets.

“I’ll be very real with y’all. One of the reasons I hold off on breaking some of the free agency news I have is because I experienced a smear campaign in this app where people lied to discredit me, even though I was telling the truth, just because they didn’t like the truth,” she wrote.

Caitlin Clark’s fans reacted to her post, pointing out her past comments for the Indiana Fever star. Fans noted that Roberta once compared Clark to a “white teenage boy” and claimed that it was opinions like these that led to her having “bad optics” around her.

“Why should anyone credit you when this is what you tweet as a ‘reporter?’” one fan asked.

“‘I experienced a smear campaign in this app where people lied to discredit me even though I was telling the truth,’ It’s other people’s fault she’s so bad at her job and not a journalist at all!” another fan wrote

“You literally compared Caitlin to a “teenage boy” and act surprise you get no credibility from players or others within the W media space. You don’t get to just openly s*** talk someone without having bad optics around you,” one fan said.

“W media is so f***ing SOFT… ‘smear campaign,’ you are ROBERTA not Beyoncé,” another fan said.

“Damn, the CCFC is currently annihilating this woman. This might be her last post this app,” one fan commented.

While fans continue to call out the WNBA reporter on social media, Caitlin Clark has yet to publicly acknowledge her comments.
