Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese’s agents were among those who signed a letter delivered to the WNBPA executive director, Terri Carmichael Jackson. The letter asks for transparency and coordinated communication among everyone involved in the ongoing CBA negotiations.
Almost a dozen agents signed the letter, which also asks that they be granted the ability to review the league’s proposal for a new CBA. Below is a list of players whose agents signed the letter:
- Caitlin Clark
- Angel Reese
- Breanna Stewart and Paige Bueckers
- A’ja Wilson
- Dominique Malonga
- Kayla McBride
“At this stage of negotiations, with time being of the essence, alignment and shared information will best serve the players and the Union,” the letter said. “Notably, there is an unprecedented level of unity among agents at this moment.”
“That alignment reflects a shared commitment to doing what is best for players and the long-term health of the league. We believe that same spirit of collaboration, utilizing all available expertise and resources, is how we should continue working together as a team.”
ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne shared a report on the letter on Instagram Threads, noting that the letter should not be taken as an indication of the players’ feelings about a strike. Rather, it has been described as an effort to include player agents in what is being described as the “final stages of CBA negotiations.”
Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark are set to team up on Team USA
While the fate of the WNBA CBA negotiations remains undecided, women’s basketball continues to move forward. On Feb. 11, Team USA announced its 2026 Women’s World Cup qualifying team, which includes Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark.
This will mark Clark and Reese’s debut for the senior national team. Others on the roster include Kahleah Copper, Kelsey Plum, Paige Bueckers, Sonia Citron, Kiki Iriafen, Jackie Young, Chelsea Gray, Aliyah Boston, Dearica Hamby and Rhyne Howard.
Outside of the 2024 WNBA All-Star Game, this will mark the first time that Reese and Clark will feature on the same team. The pair have been pitted against each other since their college days and will now be on the same side as they prepare to represent Team USA at the World Cup in September.
