A’ja Wilson has just made history. She scored 45 points with 15-18 from the field, 2-2 three pointers, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks. Her record breaking performance led Aces to 101-94 win, taking them to 3-1 and dipping Connecticut Suns to a poor 0-4 start to the WNBA season.
This was Wilson’s 5th career 40-point game, which is the most in WNBA history. A’ja Wilson is also the only player in history to score 45 points on 80% FG. Wilson has made a great start to another season. In the three games she has averaged 20 points with 6.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists.
The 45 point game was also a special record for the power couple A’ja Wilson and Bam Adebayo. After Bam’s 82 points and A’ja’s game vs the Suns, the couple has the games with most points in a game for both NBA and WNBA this season. While people are full of praises for the historic performance for A’ja Wilson, LeBron James’ friend took advantage of the opportunity and mocked a Lakers star Deandre Ayton.
“Swap A’ja Wilson and Deandre Ayton and the Lakers are still in the playoffs right now,” he took to his X account and made fun of LeBron’s teammate.
