The Georgia Bulldogs are inching closer to the season, which means that fans won’t have to wait much longer before things turn up a notch. While it might still be far for some fans, the league gave them something to chew on in the meantime.

Here’s a look at each of the dozen games on the schedule with plenty of must-see contests on tap.

UGA Football Schedule 2026 with Dates for All 12 Regular Season Games

Sept. 5: Georgia vs Tennessee State

The season kicks off with a local contest against Tennessee State. Starting 1-0 will be the fastest way to get to the postseason, while starting 0-1 could signal disaster. Aside from the playoffs, the opening few games don’t get more tense than this.

Sept. 12: Georgia vs Western Kentucky

Per ESPN, Georgia will remain in the southeast to face Western Kentucky in a contest that will either confirm the suspicions for better or worse from the first game or raise new questions.

    Sept. 19: Georgia at Arkansas

By this point, Gunner Stockton could have either won or lost the hearts of fans, but the third consecutive semi-local contest of the season will establish a pattern. It will either be hot and cold, cold or hot. Fans know which one of those they want from their quarterback.

    Sept. 26: Georgia vs Oklahoma

In the first big homestand of the season, Georgia await the Oklahoma Sooners in arguably the biggest game of the season yet. Oklahoma has gone 10-3 in two of the team’s last three seasons, so it will be a solid measuring stick for the team.

    Oct. 3: Georgia vs Vanderbilt

The Diego Pavia-less Vanderbilt Commodores will have declared whether the team can live on without Pavia by this point, but Georgia can’t assume anything, as a spark could happen at any time.

    Oct. 10: Georgia at Alabama

The Ty Simpson-less Alabama Crimson Tide will be the biggest game of the season if Alabama can stick the landing, as the program has countless times dating back to the Nick Saban era. Expect a fight.

    Oct. 17: Georgia vs Auburn

By this point in the season, fans will know where Georgia fits in the grand scheme of things. The season either will have gone off the rails, or the next question will be what the final playoff ranking will be for the program. Auburn will have a say depending on how it shows up.

    Oct. 31: Georgia vs Florida

The Gators historically have struggled in recent years, but the team’s 8-5 record in 2024 suggests Georgia could be pushed into the fourth quarter if the team can get off to a hot start.

Nov. 7: Georgia at Ole Miss

Trinidad Chambliss procrastinated joining the NFL for a season, which means he will essentially be an NFL quarterback in the college game. Expect this game to be tough and perhaps the biggest case for the team’s rankings heading into the playoffs.

    Nov. 14: Georgia vs Missouri

Georgia gets to head north to face Missouri. However, by this point in the season, the playoff seeding will be solidifying, as long as Georgia doesn’t drop a game. If the team is out of the playoff hunt by this point, it could be a competitive contest.

Nov. 21: Georgia at South Carolina

The South Carolina Gamecocks have been up and down in recent years, which means Georgia could slip into a trap game here if the team isn’t careful. With the playoffs looming, a competitive contest here or in the final game could cost everything.

Nov. 28: Georgia vs Georgia Tech

Georgia and Georgia Tech finish the season with a local battle between two local teams. The local rivalry will have plenty of fans from both schools present, and could send Georgia into the playoffs after a reinforcing win or a disastrous loss.
