It looks like the internet may have beaten EA Sports to the punch. On May 30, the cover of College Football 27 was allegedly leaked. It features a massive group shot of current college football stars, a prominent head coach, and several iconic mascots.
CFB fans shared their opinions about the alleged leaked cover in the comments section.
“The multi athlete covers are just not very good IMO, there’s too much going on with all the colors, should have just been CIG or a singular athlete with a uniform color scheme,” One fan wrote.
“I hate the direction that EA has gone with covers. They basically just get guys to try and aurafarm as much as possible and put a bunch of crap in the background,” Another fan commented.
”I think this looks awful,” another commented.
“They better make this game perfect to make up for this horrible cover,” commented a fan.
“The cover tells you EVERYTHING you need to know about what kind of product to expect from EA. Absolute trash,” commented another fan.
In the alleged leaked cover for College Football 27, Oregon QB Dante Moore takes center stage. Moore elected to return to Eugene for another season instead of entering the NFL draft, where he was projected as a potential top-2 pick.
Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti is prominently featured on the alleged cover, with IU’s Memorial Stadium in the background.
The rest of the star lineup includes Malachi Toney (Miami WR), Leonard Moore (Notre Dame DB), Jayden Maiava (USC QB), Kewan Lacy (Ole Miss RB) and Colin Simmons (Texas EDGE).
The mascots for LSU, Western Kentucky and Arizona State also made the cut.
Madden NFL 27 Cover Leaked Alongside College Football 27 Cover
To make matters worse for EA’s marketing team, the Madden NFL 27 cover also allegedly leaked alongside the College Football 27 cover. The cover allegedly features Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams performing his signature “Iceman” shiver celebration, which he broke out after that massive Week 16 win against the Green Bay Packers.
EA Sports has not commented on whether the leaks are legit. The “Opening Drive” event is on June 4.
