Sprint legend Usain Bolt revealed his choice between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner after making a surprise appearance at the Monte Carlo Masters. Bolt was at the event to watch some of the best players compete on clay, where he was asked some tennis-related questions.
In the speed interview, Bolt was asked to pick between Alcaraz and Sinner. The Jamaican confidently chose the Spaniard and even mentioned that he had once met the World No. 1 in Spain, as he praised his talent on court.
“For me, it’s Alcaraz because I met him already. I met him in Spain one time, so definitely I will vote for him,” Bolt said.
Furthermore, Bolt was asked which he found more difficult to achieve: a 9.58-second 100 m world record or 24 Grand Slam titles like Novak Djokovic. The Jamaican was quick to respond, choosing the latter while showering praise over the 38-year-old Serb for his achievements and dominance in the sport for nearly two decades.
Now, while Djokovic has withdrawn from the Monte Carlo Masters, Alcaraz and Sinner are well and truly on a potential collision course for the summit clash yet again, provided none of them encounter a surprise exit from the tournament.
