Serena Williams’ Husband Alexis Ohanian Overcome By Emotions As Wife & Kids Enjoy Wimbledon Warm-Up Without Him

Serena Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian, made his feelings known about his wife and his daughters Olympia and Adira Ohanian warming up for the Wimbledon Championships without him. The former co-founder of Reddit dropped a sweet reaction on social media.

After making her comeback to the sport after almost four years, Williams made her first appearance in the doubles tournament of the HSBC Championships alongside Victoria Mboko. After winning the opening round, her journey witnessed an abrupt ending following the Canadian’s knee injury during her singles match. Her next appearance came at the doubles event of the Berlin Open, where she played alongside Karolina Muchova and suffered a loss in the round of 16.

Amid this, she and her sister, Venus Williams, were handed their wildcards for the Wimbledon Championships’ doubles tournament, and after years, both of them will grace the court with their presence together. With the Grand Slam around the corner, the 44-year-old is gearing up for the major and recently shared a glimpse of her cute training sessions with her daughters at Wimbledon. She posted a picture of them on the tennis court with the caption:

“@wimbledon looking a little different these days.”

This caught the attention of her husband, Ohanian, who, according to his X posts, is currently in New York for his endeavors. Filled with emotion after seeing his family warming up without him, he commented:

Serena Williams opened up about her reason behind playing with Venus Williams at Wimbledon

After losing to Erin Routliffe and Giuliana Olmos in the round of 16 of the doubles tournament at the Berlin Open, Serena Williams addressed the media at the press conference. She revealed the reason behind her decision to play with Venus Williams at the Wimbledon Championships.

Opening up about how her 8-year-old daughter, Olympia Ohanian, motivated her to team up with her sister, she said:

“Well, I think it’s going to be fun. My daughter Olympia told me that I should play with Venus. She’s always right. She’s like ‘Mom you should play with Venus.’ She’s very serious, she’s very smart. She’s very wise. I said ‘OK Olympia, we’ll see if we can do it,'” said Serena Williams at the press conference.

She further revealed what motivated her to make a comeback to the sport, adding:

“I was really motivated by what Venus was doing at US Open, I thought she played really well. Quarterfinals in doubles, I thought was really interesting. At the time, she was always telling me I should play. I felt a lot of pressure, but I wasn’t practicing at all. Watching Lindsey Vonn and everyone do so well, all these women as you mentioned coming back being so Gosh darn good, I just felt ‘why not? A least for a little bit, this is not obviously forever. It’s not sustainable for me. I did feel motivated after the Olympics.”

During this conversation with the media, Serena Williams also expressed a strong desire to play doubles with Coco Gauff.
