Martina Navratilova’s wife, Julia Lemigova, shared her reaction after meeting the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, in the Royal Box during the Wimbledon ladies’ singles final.
The final took place on Saturday on Centre Court, where Linda Noskova defeated fellow Czech Karolína Muchova with a 6-2, 5-7, 6-3 win to secure her first Grand Slam title. The former tennis player Martina Navratilova attended the match with her wife, Julia, and both were seen cheering for the players from the Royal Box.
Lemigova also met Kate Middleton, who was seated next to them, and the three were seen chatting during the match. After the final, Lemigova shared a video on Instagram story of Middleton shaking hands with her and Navratilova and expressed her excitement, writing:
“My OMG moment😍”
Navratilova and her wife were also moved to tears after Noskova gave a heartfelt tribute to her late mother after winning her first Grand Slam title. A video of the moment, showing the 18-time Grand Slam singles champion, applauding for the Czech player through tears, quickly went viral.

In 2025, rumours of a split between Martina Navratilova and Julia Lemigova circulated on the internet after the latter opened up about cheating on the former tennis player with her co-star Adriana de Moura.
Amid this, the RHOM star Lemigova enrolled full-time at Florida International University’s School of Music to study opera. During the same year in an interview with OK!, she revealed that Navratilova has been a huge support throughout the journey.
“I’ve never felt more inspired to go back to school in this phase of my life. It feels incredibly empowering. It’s something I wanted to pursue for a long time, and I’m doing it purely for me. I’m studying voice, English diction, literature and fundamentals of music. Having an incredible partner like Martina makes all the difference,” she said.
She added:
“We’re both very hands-on with family and work. Tackling everything as a team is our secret weapon because I truly believe that without her support and the way we balance each other, none of this probably would be possible.”
Martina Navratilova and Julia Lemigova got married on December 15, 2014, in New York City.
