Rafael Nadal said it was a Dream Come True To be Present at the Augusta Masters
Ahead of the Masters, Nadal gave an exclusive interview to the golfing community, stating how privileged he felt to step onto the historic Augusta golf course and witness one of the most glorious events in the sporting world.
“When you see it live, what you see on television is different from what happens when you see it here live. I think you always appreciate the difficulty much more in real time. Really, magical moments have been lived here, also from colleagues like Seve, like Chema, like Sergio, like John, who have given us great joys in Spanish sport, but we also lived magical moments with Tiger, with Rory last year,” Nadal said.
“They are sports that have similarities, but they are very different at the same time. But being here is really a dream for someone who is a sports lover in general. This is one of the most emblematic places in the world of sports. Playing in this place was a real dream, because after seeing it so many times, being able to play it and being able to appreciate all the difficulty and what this place is, is something unique,” he added.
The 14-time French Open champion is currently enjoying his retirement as a successful businessman/entrepreneur, witnessing major sporting events worldwide and providing valuable guidance to young stars at his tennis academy in Mallorca.
