Jessica Pegula and her Players Box podcast co-host, Desirae Krawczyk, recently reacted to Taylor Swift’s and Travis Kelce’s wedding crowd at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Swift and the NFL star got married on July 3 in a ceremony attended by around 1000 guests. Discussing the wedding on the July 14 episode of their podcast, Krawczyk admitted she did not believe the couple would actually hold the event at MSG, believing it was a diversion. Shocked by the number of invitees, she said:
“I will say I didn’t believe it when there were all the hints of her getting married at MSG. I thought … my theory was, oh, she’s just diverting everyone there and then having it somewhere else. But then as there were things going on and clues, I was like, she’s doing it at MSG. And then when everyone was like, oh, like AC all these people, okay, a thousand guests, that’s a lot of people. I will say that’s a lot of people. I don’t know if I would invite thousand people, but anyways, happy for her,” Krawczyk said.
Echoing her co-host’s thoughts, Pegula also reacted:
“I too thought it was like a diversion. I thought like it wasn’t like it was just a trick. She was going to do something somewhere else, then she definitely got married there,” Jessica Pegula said.
Pegula concluded her Wimbledon campaign on July 7 after losing to Coco Gauff (6-4, 3-6, 3-6) in the quarterfinals.

After advancing to the quarterfinal following her win over Iva Jovic on July 5 at the Wimbledon Championships, Jessica Pegula weighed in on the Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce wedding during the post-match press conference. When asked about her thoughts on the venue, she said:
“It’s crazy. But it’s Taylor Swift. I don’t expect anything less than doing something different. Not totally surprising. But yeah, interesting. I don’t know,” she said.
She further said that the pop star’s wedding had become a major topic of discussion in the group chat of her podcast, The Player’s Box:
“Des is the big Taylor Swift fan. The rest of us, we like listening to her music, but we’re not quite like her. It’s been a little bit of a topic because nobody knew what was happening with it. Oh, we heard she’s already married. We heard that they put the sign out on MSG. Then you obviously started seeing some of the pictures coming out. Adam Sandler officiated the wedding. We’ve been keeping up on it a little bit.”
Before competing at Wimbledon, Jessica Pegula took part in the Berlin Open, where she advanced to the final but fell short to Linda Noskova.
