Top-seeded stars like Jessica Pegula, Iva Jovic and Paula Badosa have reached Charleston to begin their preparations for the clay-court season. Before that, they were involved in interesting phone revelations in a fun chat produced by the Tennis Channel.
The chat asked the participants to reveal their last ChatGPT search, last photo, last phone call and last song played. Fans were amused by their answers, especially to the ChatGPT question, where the tennis stars used the program for a pretty lame search.
Badosa used ChatGPT to search what “BS” meant. Hailey Baptiste used the AI program to remove somebody from a photo. Belinda Bencic used it to learn about the Williams sisters’ rivalry and how many times they faced each other in the final. Iva Jovic searched for the best restaurants in Charleston. Maria Sakkari used it to review her skincare products.
The interesting revelations from the tennis stars had fans in stitches.
“Asking ChatGPT for restaurant recommendations like u gotta be dumb as a rock,” one fan wrote.
“i didnt even watch till that part but she’s maga so that checks out,” one fan wrote.
“hottest wta girl but dumpest too, that’s what money does to youngers,” one fan reacted.
Some fans suggested using Google instead for such searches.
“its literally easier to use google ijbol,” one fan added.
“Badosa and Bencics answers can be googled too?” one fan shared.
“it’s so much easier to just google like-” one fan commented.
“google ? yelp ? beli ?” one fan asked.

Pegula took the last photo of her dog. The American tennis is fond of pets and houses several of them, including mini Australian shepherd Maddie. She and her husband, Taylor Gahagen, run a charity called A Lending Paw, which helps rescue dogs become service animals.
After arriving at Charleston, Maria Sakkari and her fiancé, Konstantinos Mitsotakis, went on a date and took a picture of themselves at a restaurant. Diana Shnaider took the photo of the United States Custom House building, which she saw on her way to the players’ party. The tennis star found it “beautiful.”
Iva Jovic took a picture of a delicacy, which she found funny. Paula Badosa’s latest picture on her phone was with fellow tennis star Eva Lys.
