Monica Seles Sends Special Message To Novak Djokovic’s Daughter Tara Before Wimbledon SF Vs Jannik Sinner

Novak Djokovic’s daughter, Tara, received a sweet message from former world No. 1 player, Monica Seles, following her father’s quarterfinal victory at Wimbledon.

Djokovic secured a place in the semifinals with a 7-6(10), 3-6, 6-3, 6-7(7), 7-6(4) win over Felix Auger-Aliassime on Tuesday on Centre Court. This contest lasted for 5 hours and 15 minutes and ended just before the All England Club’s 11 pm curfew. After the win, the Serb celebrated with his signature elbows-to-knees dance move, which he has said his daughter Tara helped teach him.

After the match, Seles, who watched from the stands, shared a video of Djokovic’s celebration and penned a message on her Instagram story, calling him a ‘legend.’ She also joked about his dance moves while sending a message to Tara. She wrote:

“Finally got to watch Wimbledon today! Two exciting ladies’ quarterfinals, and what can I say about Novak?? You continue to inspire us with your game, fitness, and mental focus. That point in the 5th set tiebreak at 4-3 after nearly 5 hours of tennis was absolutely insane !! LEGEND. P.S. Tara, keep working on your dad’s dance moves as there is room for improvement there.”

Novak Djokovic will now face Jannik Sinner in the semifinals at the All England Club on Friday at Centre Court.

Novak Djokovic opened up about his quarterfinal win at Wimbledon

During his post-match press conference, Novak Djokovic reflected on his win. Calling it an exciting match, he praised Felix Auger-Aliassime for playing at a high level. Speaking about the 5-hour, 15-minute contest, he said:

“It’s exciting to be part of such an epic match that was played over five hours. Just one of the best matches I was honestly part of in Wimbledon. I don’t recall playing this long any match. Maybe Roger final 2019 comes close in terms of the time and length. But it was really super even. Anyone’s game. Felix really played at a high level. He dropped his level a little bit in that super tie-break. I used all my opportunities and hung in there, played the right shots. That was enough,” said Djokovic.

Appreciating the crowd at the tournament and weighing in on defeating players 15 years younger than him, the Serb added:

“At this stage, I’m still able to battle these young guys that are 15 years younger than me, that I’m able to beat them at the tightest possible scoreline. Of course, in a sense, it is really a nice surprise.”

Novak Djokovic has won seven Wimbledon men’s singles titles in his career. He lifted the trophy in the years 2011, 2014, 2015, 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022.
