Iga Swiatek recently parted ways with her head coach, Wim Fissette, following a shock second-round exit at the 2026 Miami Open. The start of the 2026 season has been terrible for the Polish star, and her competitiveness is being questioned in tennis circles.
After the separation, it appears that Wim and his wife, Jasmien Clijsner, have both unfollowed Swiatek’s long-time sports psychologist, Daria Abramowicz, on Instagram. Abramowicz has been working with the tennis star since her teenage years. She is considered to be one of the most influential people in her inner circle.
Fans are interpreting and asking questions on why Wim and her wife decided to unfollow only Daria among all members of Swiatek’s camp.
“wim unfollowing only daria among the entire team CONFIRMS so muchhh,” a user reported.
“enough 😩 it’s not about what I think about Daria but the fact that every coach that Iga had, hates Daria. She doesn’t see that there might be a reason to that or she sees that but she wants to be delusional!? But if she sees that why she is not prioritizing her own career 😭” one fan wrote.
“@igasabsmylatina I had to check it by myself because i couldn’t believe it after reading this tweet and i laughed when i saw he really unfollowed her. Just imagine how manipulative she must be, unbelievable… Everything that Rusin and Zaradny were saying about her must be true,” one fan added.
“He couldn’t say anything but we all understand what this means. Daria will be hated so much more now. And Iga is f**ked,” one fan added.
“It probably only a matter of time Iga unfollows Fissette as well, she did it to Piotr and Wiktorowski doesn’t do social media,” one fan wrote.
“The fact her career is getting screwed over because of one person…” one fan added.
“Maybe wim might come out and say one or two but his personality doesn’t look like someone that can snitch🫤” one fan commented.
Iga Swiatek Gives Honest Reaction After Miami Loss
Iga Swiatek was extremely disappointing following her loss in three sets against Magda Linette. Before she faced the media in the post-match conference, she reportedly wiped tears from her eyes.
“This is like the worst nightmare a top tennis player can have, dropping in matches in terms of the level,” she said. “So I need to live through this, go forward, learn, and figure it out.”
Now, the World No. 3 is trying to find her position again in tennis as she looks forward to defending her title at Roland Garros.
