Coco Gauff has arrived in Stuttgart for the 2026 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix. The American star is aiming to build momentum to defend Roland Garros after making the finals of the Miami Open, where she was defeated by Aryna Sabalenka. Recently, she engaged in a tennis session with local favorite Eva Lys.
On Friday, Gauff shared an insight from her relaxed tennis session with the German. In the image, she captures Lys holding a “Heat Check” sticker near the net. The image also captures Gauff’s hand holding the same sticker. Both players seem to be obsessed with this “Heat Check” sticker, as Gauff wrote:
“so when does our heated obsession go away?”
In Stuttgart, Gauff first played in 2023 and made it to the second round after a tough three-set win over Veronika Kudermetova in her debut at the tournament. Her best result came last year, when she dominantly won against Ella Seidel in the opening match before losing to Jasmine Paolini in straight sets in the quarterfinals.
Coco Gauff Hits Back At Critics For Mocking Her Miu Miu Campaign Appearance
Before coming to Stuttgart, Coco Gauff shared images from her photoshoot for the Miu Miu campaign. Gauff shared photos in which she was seen collecting the tennis balls into the luxurious handbag from the brand. She wore a red polo shirt, blue skirt and black shoes. It was a natural look with her hair in a bun style.
However, she received immense backlash for such a lackluster look, especially her hair, with many expecting the American to be professional for such a big photoshoot. After the wave of criticism, Gauff has finally come out to explain her reason behind such an appearance.
“There are thousands of people talking about the way that I look,” Gauff said, “and not in a positive way. I’m not gonna apologize for the way that my hair looks because there are other girls who had the exact same hair as me, and I just wanted them to feel represented that your hair is literally fine the way it is.”
Gauff also revealed the details behind the photoshoot. She shared that the brand gave several outfits to pick from and she picked one and completed the photoshoot in her parents’ backyard. She also said about her hairstyling that she didn’t do a slick back because it isn’t “good” for her hair.
