Coco Gauff wrapped up the Sunshine Double on a decent note, as she lost to Aryna Sabalenka in the Miami Open final after an early exit at the Indian Wells Open. Now, the two-time Grand Slam champion is preparing to defend a large number of points during the claycourt season. Last year, she reached two WTA 1000 finals (Madrid and Rome) on clay and won her maiden French Open title.
Currently, Gauff is enjoying some well-deserved downtime. She celebrated Easter with her loved ones on Sunday. Gauff shared a few photos from the celebration on her Instagram stories, which included a hearty meal at her grandparents’ house and attending Sunday’s church service.

The Miami Open finalist is still searching for her first title of the season, and it couldn’t come at a better time. The claycourt swing is underway, a surface on which she has flourished in recent years. Gauff endured a difficult period during the Australian and Middle East swing, which was further aggravated by a R3 exit at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells.
Coco Gauff to Resume Play on the WTA Circuit at Stuttgart and Madrid
World No. 3 Coco Gauff skipped the WTA 500 Charleston Open due to logistical constraints and took two weeks off before she resumed play on tour.
The reigning French Open champion will first compete at the WTA 500 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart, starting April 13, which will feature seven of the top 10 players.
After Stuttgart, Gauff will play at the Mutua Madrid Open, the first WTA 1000 tournament on clay, which will feature all the top players in women’s tennis. Gauff will aim to avenge her Miami Open final loss to Aryna Sabalenka in Stuttgart and Madrid.
