After besting Arthur Fils in the final round at the Qatar Open, Alcaraz addressed the media, where he was asked about how he felt lifting this tournament’s trophy for the first time.

“Well, it feels great. It feels like the job is finished right now, which is great. Uh you know, a great week on and off the court. “Every match has their styles and I know this too far from the real Arthur’s level. So I know he plays better; he has shown, you know, in this tournament. He has shown in the battles we’ve played before. He did a lot of his easy mistakes today. But, you know, for me, I just try to be focused on myself. I think I played really aggressively, and I didn’t do any mistakes at all. So, serving well, returning well. Uh yeah, I think it was a final, and I had to give my 100%. So just happy that I was able to do it.”
