Ben Shelton’s girlfriend, Trinity Rodman, slammed a troll who ridiculed her lingo after her statement on her back injury was recently released. The tennis player, on the other hand, is gearing up for his upcoming tournaments of the 2026 season.
Rodman has been suffering from a chronic back injury since 2021, and she recently took a four-month hiatus to focus on her recovery. After returning to the field in August, she highlighted that it would still need long-term management. Recently, the ESPN Originals shared her statements about the injury. Opening up about her play that was affected by her back, she said:
“The injury in my back wasn’t something that happened; it was more an accumulation of minutes. How aggressively I play. In like, honest truth, like how bad it was, was like extremely concerning. I pushed through it, but 100% made it so much worse.”
This statement attracted a lot of attention from her fans, and in addition to this, it also garnered the attention of her trolls. One of them made fun of her speech pattern, highlighting the ‘like’ word. They commented:
“Like is the only word she knows.”
Shutting down the critic, Rodman issued a blunt reply, writing:
“Yes I use like as a filler when talking about emotional things… sue me😂😭”

While Rodman is sharing bold statements against her trolls, Shelton recently dominated at the Dallas Open. Besting top-notch players like Denis Shapovalov, he advanced to the finals, where he got the better of Taylor Fritz, registering a 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 win.
