“Money Can’t Buy Class” – Aryna Sabalenka Faces Fierce Criticism From Fans For Bold ‘Russian’ Outfit At Miami Open

Aryna Sabalenka has touched down in Miami and with her has followed a controversial outfit. The Belarusian star is fresh off winning the Indian Wells Masters and is all set to proceed as the No. 1 seed in the Miami Open.

To announce her arrival, Sabalenka posted a controversial TikTok video. In this, she posted a video from California, wearing a relaxing Nike outfit. The video changes over to her presence in Miami, wearing a bold Russian outfit.

She wore a tiger-print faux fur coat with black patterned tights. She accessorized the bold outfit with a small black handbag, a gold chain belt and layered gold jewelry.

Many fans didn’t like this Russian style as they mocked the tennis star.

“Style of a russian mafia entertainment woman 😭 can’t defend her with that,” one fan wrote.

“Money can’t buy class,” another fan commented.

“She is unbearable these days,” one fan wrote.

“You can take a girl out od Belarus but you cant take Belarus out of the girl. Respectfully,” one fan wrote.

“She’s just so russian,” one fan wrote.

“A Belarusian kolkhoz tractor driver who got hands on too much money,” one fan said.

Aryna Sabalenka Slams Back to Dubai Tennis Championship Organizer

Aryna Sabalenka pulled out of the Dubai Tennis Championship just two days before the tournament began. She withdrew to manage her injury. However, her last-minute pullout disappointed the organizers, with director Salah Tahlak asking the WTA to deduct ranking points.

Sabalenka called this criticism “ridiculous” while also hinting that she might not want to return to Dubai after hearing such comments.

“It’s actually so sad to see that the tournament directors and the tournaments are not protecting us as players. They just care about their [sales], about their tournament and that’s it. I’m not sure if I ever want to go there after his comment. For me it’s too much,” Sabalenka said.

After winning the Indian Wells Masters also, Sabalenka mentioned that she and her team will be prioritizing her health going forward over deciding on participation in some tournaments round the year.

“Going into this season, we decided… to prioritise my health and make sure we have these little gaps in the schedule where I can reset, recharge, work and be better prepared for bigger tournaments,” she said. “I feel like the scheduling is going crazy and that’s why you see so many players injured, always taped and not delivering the best quality matches because it’s almost impossible.”

It remains to be seen if Sabalenka can win another WTA title this month.
