Amanda Anisimova, Coco Gauff and several other tennis stars participated in a quiz related to Taylor Swift at the Dubai Tennis Championships. Like most, even Anisimova failed to answer what the name of Swift’s last album was.
Anisimova straight away said that she “doesn’t like Taylor Swift.” This landed her in trouble with the Swifties, who called out the American star for not liking the major pop star.
The trolling was so much that Anisimova had to issue a clarification under the same Instagram post that had the video.
“Guys, I’m just not a fan of her music, I have nothing against T Swift 😅🤍” she commented.

By the video, it appears that Coco Gauff was well aware of the peril that comes with failing to answer Taylor Swift’s most recent album. That is why she said:
“Oh my god, the Swifties are gonna attack me.:
Amanda Anisimova Speaks Highly of Predecessor Serena Williams
Amanda Anisimova is currently the highest-rated American player on the WTA tour. However, for the majority of the last two decades, that title belonged to Serena Williams, who won 23 Grand Slams in women’s singles and some in women’s doubles as well with her sister Venus Williams.
Speaking at the Dubai Tennis Championships, Anisimova acknowledged the role Williams has played in the current crop of American stars.
“I feel like Serena was such an icon and a legend. To be able to try to follow in her footsteps, obviously that’s almost impossible to be able to achieve for the majority of us,” Anisimova said. “But it is the goal. It is that motivation. I think she’s been an inspiration to each one of us Americans as well as everyone else from other countries. Yeah, I feel like we’re all doing really well.”
Amanda Anisimova is yet to win a Grand Slam, but she came mighty close last season on two occasions, where she finished runner-up. Currently, she is participating in the Dubai Tennis Championships, where she has advanced into the Round of 16 after two-time Grand Slam winner Barbora Krejcikova pulled out due to an issue with her left thigh.
